whew. never thought I’d get around to doing that…!
um, wow… that was easy.
Very nice! I think they keep the betas on like 2 week staged releases but in my testing this has been pretty sound.
Did you have any hiccups with your plugins?
yeaman. No probs at all. Didn’t even deactivate my plugins first. Just dove in headlong. No issues, as usual. :)
@barnettwebsites was there and you already follow me. I don’t believe we had the priviledge of meeting, but your lightbulb icon with the mustache is very unique! What’s the inspiration behid that?
Hi Lisa. Thanks for stopping by. I’ve added you to the list. The “bulbstache” has been an evolution… I was simply using a lightbulb for awhile, then added a mustache to represent Team Mustache in Color Wars 2008. And… it just kinda stuck. The lightbulb represents ideas and the fake ’stache represents mischief – pretty much sums up my Twitter activity.
Thanks for letting me sit next to you. Thanks also for the follow.

Hi, Ben. We may have talked briefly at Saturday’s WordCamp at the Observer. How’d you like the event? I thought it was a great way to meet and network with fellow bloggers. Check out my slightly skewed take on the day at davisw.wordpress.com if you like. — Davis
“jesusy” LOL
Have you seen Jesus Camp? Scary scary stuff.
Cool stuff, Ben. Thanks for the awesome info.
The courier job sounds really cool. That is wild about the lay-offs. I remember by brother got cut by the dotcom bust. That was a bummer. Best of luck with BOA!!
Hey Leo. Thanks for the comment. Yea, I have many great memories of DC, even during the dotcom lows (but especially before that). :-)
http://www.Charlottebook.com is also a great one! City information, blogs, forums, events, polls, etc. Thanks for joining us!
Thanks for posting this roundup! Good to finally meet you,
nice wrap up sir
interesting post for me, as I’m designing a handful of cycling jerseys at the moment!
i like the design on the right–bold!
what was the outcome?
It didn’t go well. The team manager and the main sponsor apparently couldn’t agree on the design. Last I heard, they were going for a stock background and just putting logos on it.
Boohiss. I really like the middle one.
Just posted one of the two jerseys I just finished on Behance
I’d love your feedback! :)
Thats nice :P
Ashley, those jerseys look very cool! Love the color scheme, and the argyle-ish pattern.
iTunes should buy Pandora and the Music Genome Project – much more intuitive music matching exists there
That’s an awesome shirt.
yes! great titles. btw, I discovered that hardly anyone clicks on the ShareThis or AddThis bookmarklets so I just changed out mine with the Sociable plugin for wordpress. It allows you to pick and choose which bookmarking icons to display and when people see facebook and delicious icons, they’re more likely to bookmark or share. You can see how it works on sawtooth.
I was there too! That show was so sick. He was wearing a grim reaper t-shirt. Probably the best club show I’ve ever seen.
Pretty sure someone was there wearing a @seriousbizznass name tag and wearing a @PBRCampCLT hoodie.
Wow. What a fantastic compilation of all that happened. Kudos for putting it all together. Awesome.
My updated blog post of Barcamp 2 can be found here: http://bit.ly/41A7Ga
Thanks, Corey!
Whooops, thanks for pointing that out, Malik.
Now corrected.
This a great assembly of links. Thanks for listing my flickr photos.
I have added a much larger gallery of BarCamp photos at http://adventuresindesign.com/minolta/barcamp2009/index.html. It would be great to add this gallery to the list.
good job! that’s my favorite.
Thanks, dude! I had fun with ‘em. Been using “dccubed.jpg” as my Twitter background for awhile now, too.
I see you are partial to an arse bandit…?!
